
Automated Pharmacy Integration, a subsidiary of American Conveyor Group, Inc., is currently in the early stages of installing a multi-million dollar mail order automated prescription fulfillment system for a customer that is in the private sector of the medical industry. This project is quite similar to the project being completed for the U. S. Government, with the major difference being the volume of prescriptions being processed. This project will process and complete a total of 6000 prescriptions per hour.
Similar to the system installed for the government, this project eliminates the manual processing of medical prescriptions and increases the quality of the operation by utilizing specially designed belt and tabletop conveyors, automatic picking equipment and a unique Automated Tablet Counter. This is a highly sophisticated computerized system that requires only minimal manual intervention.
These unique "state of the art" automated mail order prescription fulfillment systems have significantly reduced the cost of processing medical prescriptions, as well as the company's liability claims from errors that occur when they are filled manually. American Conveyor Group, Inc. expects to promote and develop similar systems both domestically and internationally.
