American Conveyor Group, Inc. & Pflow Industries Join Forces To Develop A Customized Vertical Reciprocating Lift Solution For the Automotive Sales Industry

American Conveyor Group, Inc., in conjunction with Pflow Industries, has successfully completed the sale of a customized state of the art Vertical Reciprocating Lift to Symbolic Motors. Symbolic Motors is based out of La Jolla, California and has several locations in which they specialize in the sale of exotic automobiles. The 8000 pound capacity customized vertical reciprocating lift will be installed at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. This project is part of a major expansion of the Venetian Resort and will be used to convey Lamborghini automobiles a total of 21 feet from the ground floor level, through an 8 foot high utility floor, up to a state of the art customer show room. To accommodate the size of the Lamborghini, the carriage on the vertical reciprocating lift will be 18 feet wide and 7 feet long (i.e. depth). This vertical reciprocating lift is designed such that when it is fully raised to the show room level it will appear to a prospective Symbolic customer to be a permanent part of the show room.

Due to the nature of this material handling application, American Conveyor Group, Inc. and the engineers at Pflow Industries have effectively secured the safety of all employees by designing a special interlock system to be used in conjunction with a removable security rail. This security rail will prevent the vertical reciprocating lift from operating when the rail system is removed (i.e. when displaying vehicles). This critical feature will thereby prevent any exposure to the opening in the floor when the vertical reciprocating lift is lowered to the ground floor level. This automotive lift solution is scheduled to be operational by October 10, 2007 and the expansion of the Venetian Resort is scheduled to be complete prior to the end of this calendar year.

This vertical reciprocating lift will be installed under the management of American Conveyor Group, Inc. by RHP Mechanical Systems, located in Reno, Nevada. RHP Mechanical Systems has a history of experience in fabricating and installing material handling equipment. Most recently, they installed a vertical reciprocating lift that American Conveyor Group, Inc. sold to Amazon.com, located in Reno, Nevada.

This is just one example of the strong relationship that has developed between American Conveyor Group, Inc. and Pflow Industries over the years. This customized vertical reciprocating lift solution is expected to be adopted throughout North America as the Automotive Sales Industry continues to expand their vision on how to effectively market their products. Requests for additional information about this unique material handling application should be addressed to to Bill Chalfin, at or by calling 615-560-4020.
